THE WORK PRODUCT

Your roof report.
Evidence you can follow.

A clear report connects the question, photographs, visible findings and practical next steps.

Illustrative report format only. This is not an actual inspection, anonymized customer report, certification or insurance decision. No property findings or customer outcomes are represented here. Your report follows the service you purchase.

What you should be able to find quickly.

01 / PURPOSE

The question and scope

Property identification, inspection date, chosen service, customer question, weather and authorized access. Areas outside the agreed scope are identified.

02 / ROOF RECORD

The roof and its context

Accessible roof materials and components, approximate age with its source, prior records supplied, and methods used for the visual review.

03 / PHOTO EVIDENCE

Overview to detail

Dated overview and close-up photographs with captions and location references. Each image should connect to an observation rather than stand alone as a conclusion.

04 / FINDINGS

What was observed

Visible conditions, their locations and their relevance to the inspection question. Owner-reported history is identified separately from observed conditions.

05 / LIMITATIONS

What remains uncertain

Inaccessible areas, concealed components and unresolved questions. The report explains where further review or specialist testing may be needed.

06 / NEXT STEPS

A practical priority list

Supported repair, monitor or further-review priorities with referenced photos. Urgent visible concerns are distinguished from routine maintenance.

One observation, easy to trace.

Location: Roof slope or component identifier.

Photograph: Image number, date, overview and detail reference.

Observation: A plain description of the visible condition.

Interpretation: Why it matters, with the basis and uncertainty stated.

Next step: Repair, monitor or seek additional evaluation, as supported.

These are report fields, not findings from an inspected property.

The deliverable follows the service.

A visual roof inspection does not establish concealed conditions or guarantee remaining life, insurer acceptance or claim outcomes. Optional repair work is quoted separately; you choose who performs it.

A RECORD OVER TIME

How RoofWatch adds a comparison history

This sample illustrates report structure. An actual RoofWatch baseline identifies inspected areas, existing concerns, dated photographs and access limits. Later reports reference earlier photo locations, completed maintenance and newly observed changes. Inspection dates, owner-reported storm dates and weather sources remain distinct.
